Combine:

2 small green peppers, diced

2/3 C diced celery

2 small onions, diced

1 Tbsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 C vinegar

1/4 C sugar

1 C cold water

Slice 6 medium tomatoes and pour above mixture over; cover and chill 3 to 4 hours.

Makes: 8 servings
